After trying various combos of brooms and scoops, I think I found my favorite combination of coop cleaning tools. A bench broom and dust pan flick poos right over the pine pellets into the pan. Then the squeegee works perfectly on the poop boards! My coop floor is about 5 foot by almost 6 foot, i have 11 hens, and I clean all the poop outta the coop in less than 5 minutes. Thought I'd share. What's everyone else's best tools?

One of my favorite tools is a small child-sized rake. It works well for me with any tight spaces in the coop because there's no long handle to get in the way and the smaller head fits into places a full sized rake won't.

I too do pine shavings and clean out a couple times a year. Since I just built a new coop, I had to go find some new tools. I bought a small rake on a long handle. I can open the back of my coop and the rake reaches clear through to the pop door. I just fluff things up once in a while. I also have a kitty little scoop which is useful for pushing back the shavings that make their way into the pop door area or and stray poos and shavings that get too close to the back doors. I just flick them back in with the scooper. Works for me.
