I do shavings, no poop boards, and shovel it all out twice or three times each year. Just add shavings once in a while in between, and it's fine. This winter I have 41 chickens, way too many for the poop board thing!

I do a mix of shavings and straw. I turn the bedding once in awhile and add a new layer on top. I clean it completely out 2x a year with a old hoe

I use the same method, it doesn't smell since it dries quickly

We like to use a large metal drywall joint knife, dust pan, hand brush and 5 gallon bucket as needed. Pine shavings on the poop board with a slot (removable bricks with waterer) for easy cleaning. It makes for a VERY quick cleanup, usually a couple minutes, unless doing a full clean out.

I also use a hand broom and dustpan, a drywall scraper thing, a hay/pitch fork, and small and large flat shovels for removing bedding and run materials when I need too. I'm also considering getting a small steamer and pressure washer for more deep cleans once a year

I could not do without my ice scraper. You know those ones designed for cleaning ice and snow off car windows. It's great for scraping off stubborn poop. I have one that has a glove/mitt attached to shield my hand.

I use one of these too! But I also line my poop shelf with old cut flat feed bags so I can just pick it up and dump the poop then replace the bag

Many of us have wood coops, and a steam cleaning would damage (melt) the walls!
Steam cleaning, maybe, if you do an all-in, all-out commercial type flock management. If you have birds who stay longer, steam cleaning is overkill.
Sweep it out, vacuum or sweep the spiderwebs, and shovel out the old bedding. Permethrin spray the interior if you have issues with mites or lice.
Steam cleaning will cause more problems than it ever solves!!!
