I hope you call AC and the local police. The owner should atleast "pay" for a replacement, its getting so these "dog" people will not take care of the animals running loose.
I love dogs, but they just play our "farm" animals to death. Once begun, it will continue! They now know where to go and have fun.

I'm very sorry for your loss and the headache your going to have getting someone to take poultry people serious (or farm animals).

Sorry to hear that. Hope you and his sister get over it and remember the great times. hopefully in a bit you'll be able to find a Shenanigan III. I have a dog, a yellow lab. I have twelve 3 week old buff orpingtons. I take the chicks out every afternoon when I get home from work. I also have the lab right there with them. They get along so nice. My lab is named Abby and she is like a mother to them. They walk all over and around her in the grass while she just looks at them and sniffs em, dogs sniff the weirdest places! When my sons dog came over from next door, Abby got up and wouldn't let her near the chicks. I hope to continue the training and be able to leave Abby with them without fear of her snatching one. She is very smart anbd knows what I want her to do. Take care and again, sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just lost my favorite roo. I don't know what got him, but the loss is terrible. I loved him so much so I know what you are going through. These animals are more then just a chicken they are part of our families and some people just don't underestand how much we love our chickens. I have 2 dogs one a shar pei / basset and the other is shar/pei mix, they both protect my chickens and the chickens know to go to the dogs if another chicken is picking on them. I will keep you and your little girl in my prayers. Love
