Hello! Thought I’d see if anyone here had advice.
There’s a fawn down by my garden, no idea how old. It looks to me to be a week old or maybe a bit more, still has spots. I know mama can leave baby for hours and hours, even over night. Mom has come back once that we know of to tend to her baby.
The only concerning thing for me is that this baby tries to stand and then slams back down to the ground. Seems to be licking its back legs a lot. I’m unsure if it’s injured. We’re not disturbing it or trying to feed it or anything, but at what point should it take off with its mom? Just wondering at what point I should consider calling a Wildlife Rehab center if it’s still here, continuing to show signs of not being able to walk?
