We wont be breeding and I dont really need the standard, I just want pullets. We just want dark eggs. I want to know what to look for in a pullet? Less copper? Smaller combs. I will be trading out for the same age, ao around 3 months old. What sets the males from the females at that age? I have looked everywhere for 3 month old pullet versus cock pictures, I just cant seem to find them

I don't have any of those but man, they look like roos to me!

At three months, the cockerels should have pretty large red combs. I'd look for birds with small combs that may have some pink but are not large or red.

That one looks like it's mixed with a silkie, definitely a rooster

that is why I am not sure what to look for. Their combs are smaller than my other pullets and so do I want combs even smaller. cause they are not redder than any of the other 3 month olds.
