Feather color!

I'm also wondering why she has a rose comb. It was a backyard breeder and he had a bunch of different breeds of chickens all together. I think in the least they are not first getn SG, but could be different breeds all together. I have looked up gold laced wyandottes but they don't look like her at all! She's way more blue with orange feathers randomly on her neck, where GLW are way more red with some blue lacing...Unless the gold comes out later in age? This is her currently. I'm honestly stumped, she looks mostly like a SG to me but the comb lol

If she came from a backyard breeder then she is a wyandotte mix, not a sapphire gem. I was talking about blue laced red wyandottes, not gold laced, though there are gold laced blues.

I have a sapphire gem that has a lot of red feathers on her neck too. These were taken about 2 weeks ago and she's gotten a whole lot more since then. Also in the first photo you can see one of her tail feathers is black/white. They just have some funky colorings that can come through lol

She is beautiful!! I have a silkie I thought was a pallet and out of the blue this morning started making rooster sounds. I am very confused by this. Do you know much about silkies?
