Feather colors on chicks

Okay, this is crazy. I know feathers change but in a day?

Both photos taken today. One at 8:13 AM and second at 5:46 PM. I thought I was loosing my vision. I told my husband it was like looking at a Monet painting. They were all soft and blurred and the more we looked we realized they changed colors during the day. How do they do that? I haven't really noticed any molting. I got them in the mail on 6/5. So they are still fairly young. The larger ones are French Blue Copper Marans and smaller are Alchemist Blues. I do have two tiny ones, who are doing well, that didn't thrive in the beginning so well.

It happens so fast!

That is so amazing. I go out there and check on them and visit with them a lot during the day. Their little house is set up so they can watch me in the garden. All day I kept thinking my eyes were going blurry.
