Feather colour?

Me and my partner keep debating on what colour our oldest call duck will be, he/she started feathering a week ago and so far the whole of the chest is brown but tail and wings are grey with very slight brown tips, as far as we are aware mother is apricot and dad is like a dark brown with white head. Just wondering what other might think)

Your duckling is Mallard patterned.

...Colour looks to be Blue Fawn to me...
(Meaning : Blue phase Mallard.)

I have just searched pictures on the Internet to see if your duckling could be Pastel instead, but Pastel ducklings appear to have a much lighter coloured fluff than what your duckling looks to have (had)...!

He really was a very pretty colour. Okay thank you I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on those feathers as I’m so interested in them
