I’ve just been given this pullet, she hasn’t grown since 12 weeks old. She hatched the first week of May so is now 22 weeks old and weighs 750g.

Unknown breed. However the person my friend got her off has silkies, pekins and frizzles.

Is this shredder gene or double frizzle or something else? Some feathers are almost normal, some look like silkie feathers, but very sparse covering.

Excuse her posture, she’s just had a bath to treat for parasites before going into quarantine. She is 100% dry in these photos and that is how her feathers were laying before the bath.

My guess is that's a frazzle; two frizzles bred together, which isn't advised because around 1/4 of the babies will have feather and/or heart issues and have a shortened life span. That breeder knew what she gave you, and that was cruel that she bred them IMO.

You can try higher protein which may help with the feathers. If you have other birds, they'd all benefit with 18-20% all flock. That's what my silkies are on, chicks to adults. I just have a dish of oyster shell for the hens as all-flock has lower calcium, thus why it's good for chicks and roosters.
