Feather loss at 8 weeks - is this normal?

My two BRs are just eight weeks and or losing some feathers - they downy ones as well as the big feathers. Is this normal? Sorry this sounds like a stupid question but I want to make sure.

Are they developing bald spots (NOT normal)? Or just losing a few (normal)?

They are just losing a few. From the link provided by Ridgerunner this occurs at about 8 - 10 weeks.
