feather loss

I noticed some feather loss around the throat area on one of my black star hens last week. Now she is losing some coverage on more of her neck and it's creeping up her head. Is this normal or is something wrong? She seems fine otherwise. Please advise.

She could be moulting? This is normal. How old is she?

I don't know exactly but she's around six to seven months old.

Hmmm
She shouldn't be moulting. Is there any overcrowding, or lice and mites which could cause the problem?

We only have 7 birds. there's plenty of room and they free range in a spacious backyard. We live in Minnesota and we've had a few good frosts already and she's the only one with this symptom. If it is mites, what can we/should we do?
