Feather Picking Frustration

Quote:
I can't separate them, as I don't have the place to do this. But I can try to duct tape their backs, but got another question for you, this hen also picks off their fluffy butt feathers! Their cushion to protect their bottoms! This barred rock I have that is doing all this atrocious work is a beauty, I sure hate to part with her. I can buy some wild game feed and see if I can get those feathers started back to growing.

I suggested duct tape to DBF but he said he had read that and tried it; the others just kept pecking until they picked the tape off. We have tried the higher percentage feed and that definitely does work though.

The stew pot? Hhmm, I haven't tried that yet. I'm too chicken to wring their necks and de-feather them.
