Yes, indeed. It doesn't really matter now anyway, not much I can do if they are roosters. Ill just play the waiting game lol.

Just be patient and wait till they get a little age on them, it will be easy to tell in a couple months.

I'm curious if you've tried vent sexing? I'm not in agreement with it, but that's just because I've never done it--but, curious about it...

This is very helpful and interesting to us as we are waiting for our eggs to hatch in the next day or so. Is it only the feather length you are looking at in this method or is there something else? Thanks for the helpful insights so we can learn as much as possible.

What you're looking for first is that it's the right kinda cross to even make it possible.
It only works on the right crosses which equals a very small percentage of chicks unless its specifically bred for.

You just have to wait. Feather sexing only works on very few breeds, and is not fool proof. Let us know in a few weeks!

Everybody: I’m pretty sure the first chick is a female! If the chicks are of one week of age, apparently you can check the tail feathers, and the hens tail feathers would already be growing.
