Feather sexing- not sure if possible

I would hope that she is correct because that's three pullets and only two cockrels. Pretty good if you ask me.

also, I wasn't hoping she was incorrect about all, just #1.

Yes, that is good odds. I do know that. We had lost 2, 1 3 days before hatch date (I think momma kicked it out) and then 1 hatched but didn't make it through the night.

I just really like the rusty one I might be able to convince DH to keep him. OR just keep him through the winter and be like "What, a boy? Are you sure?" when he asks. lol

Ok so here we are 4 weeks later, I know it is a little early but anyone want to guess gender? I have sides and combs. Mix of combs all around, I feel like. #4 is the only one with a pink tinge on wattle, otherwise they are all beaks color. Mixed colored legs too. Grey is a barnyard mix, the rest may be EEs but they are not hatchery stock but would be 3rd if not more generation mixes. 5 chicks, I have my guesses.

1 is definitely a cockerel
2 likely pullet
3 pullet
4 likely cockerel
5 leaning cockerel based on comb size, but could honestly go either way

At least number 5 needs a couple more weeks to be sure, but it sure looks like wing sexing wasn't accurate on these little ones.

I'd say 1 is a cockerel based on comb, but iffy on the others. For now I'll guess pullets but 4 could possibly be a boy as well.

I am thinking the same thing as both of you @rosemarythyme and @pipdzipdnreadytogo! I am leaning towards 1 for sure and a maybe on 4 for cockerels, they are by far the largest and longest legged too. #5 is my favorite so I hope it is a pullet, come on Luna!

#1 is the only for sure cockerel I'm seeing right now. The others are still iffy.
