feather sexing

Anyone out there have experience with feather sexing? If so what do u think this might be?

Feather sexing only works for some hybrids and certain strains of a few breeds. It is not valid for most chicks. If it were then hatcheries wouldn't need vent sexers or sex linked breeds.
 
From what I have read some hatcheries do use this method and I know it is more likely an old wives tale. However for those of us who enjoy the suspense and gathering our own data, it is fun.

I've been told that if there is a double row of feathers, one row shorter than the others, it is a female. A single row of feathers is male. I am using this for the first time and I will see how true it is.
I can't really tell if there is a second row of feathers on the wing you are holding.
Search Bing or Google with the question 'Feather sexing chicks'. It should bring up some pictures.
