"Ammy, you just have to trust me. It will get better. Believe me." Pepper said.
"I- I still can't believe she's gone... she was so afraid."
Pepper sprung away from me like I'd burned her.
"Get over it!" She yelled. "Death IS. A. PART. OF. LIFE. Stop hanging on to her death and MOVE ON!"
This was the first time I had EVER seen Pepper raise her voice to me!
"You been 'so not on this earth' since Serenia died. STOP HANGING ONTO HER! You'll never see her again, so you're just going to have to forget about it." Pepper walked away from me and crawled under the coop.
Her withdrawl hit me like an icy wind.
I slowly walked over to the coop and got in the nesting box. I cried, this time on my own. Not about Serenia, about Pepper.
She'd never acted this way.
Why was she acting this way?
I really didn't know.
I heard the clang of the cage opening and what happened was the Food Lady came in and looked in the tiny door.
"Amulet? Are you okay?"
She came and opened the side door and picked me up. Her blood running against mine and her heart sowly beating. It was just enough to lure me to sleep. But she put me down slowly. Then she walked inside her coop and left.

Here is the short redone chapter
Everything was falling apart. A wind, slowly racing across our fields slashed through the air like a claw taking the life of innocents. Pepper wasn’t acting right. What was up with her?
It’s cold.
Very cold.
Where is our Food Lady?
?
I want her to come.
But she won’t come.
She’s all I have left.
What Pepper said, brought open a wound that hurt so much, burning rage throughout my body.
I can’t stand being alone.
It hurts too much. I don’t want to be the one that has to take the silence.
Why am I just standing here like an egghead?
I need to get up. And move on slowly.
