i know protien = feathers but i want to take it a step further what food brand percent specs and supplment do you recamend for the best most bright coloring and feater growth

With winter coming on and my older hens molting, I have switched my chickens to a 20% egg layer pellet vs. the usual 16% they get the rest of the year.

My waterfowls food is a 7 grain that is relatively low in protein - 13%, which is fine for them as they free range - but a few of them are molting too; so they are getting a cup of high quality cat food added to their feed pan daily.
