Feathers in coop

When I go in the coop there are feathers spread throughout the coop. Are they pecking eachother or are the feathers just falling out? They are 9 week old silver-laced wyandottes.

Do you happen to have a number of cockerels?

Chicks go through several molts in the course of growing up. It is common to have feathers every where during while they are growing up.

They may be falling out for molting and if they started " playing" more they could loose a lot in a short period of time.
