I am ashamed to admit how long I have just sat and watched them today. they are on my night table so I just rest my head on the incubator and watch through the window! LOL!!!

Wow, early wriggling..they are working on it..don't worry if you don't even see a pip until the day they are due. Some are early, some are right on, and some a day late. You just never know. I would be looking tomorrow for pips. They can pip, and stay that way for a while..so, you should be seeing pips by tomorrow,, my guess. :)
Ok, TY!!! I am so excited!!!!!! I don't want to leave to go anywhere! LOL!

You will get a kink in your neck. Oh, and you will get a back ache. Oh, but it's so worth it! Ha...

Hmm those pellets sound interesting! I get my shavings from tsc which will cost the same as the shavings. I'm also gonna check with my co-op-need more food, maybe I will be lucky! I still don't have any broody chicks...I guess we aren't getting anything from the first go around.

My daughter is going to be so heart broken-ugh!! I surely thought at least one would survive...just my luck. Well I guess she is going to have to wait till we get back into the state late next month. I'm taking my mom and daughter to st.louis at the end of march for her spring break to see gramps. I told her that when we get back we will put another round of our own eggs in the bator, keep those, then we can get some chicks of the breeds she's been wanting and put them under our next broody.

I suspect it will be my alice (glw). She's gone broody twice so far, this would have been her first hatch, but guess it's not going to happen. My daughter is just going to have to wait a lil longer, she's been dying for more chicks. I know that my sister won't take care of them-she is terrified of the chickens. I have to get a chicken sitter for that week, she cracks me up.

Anywho I'm defentally trying those pellets! Thanks for the info..

My humidity is at 53% That is as high as I can seem to get it. I have a wet rag, a small jar with water and sponge in it, and another jar with sponge and water, and the troughs on the bottom are full too. Is this to low for lockdown?

already there! told my hubby not to expect much done when he gets home today....or tomorrow....or wednesday!

He knows, when I am in "that" room, and I'm saying, I HAVE A PIP!..he isn't going to be seeing much of me out and about, but I'm thinking I need to leave for a while. I will stick around until this one that is zipping has hatched, then I need to get my face, I mean my behind in gear and go do some grocery shopping.

I woke up to a baby.

They are due tomorrow. I have some pips going on.

I can't believe my monster egg has pipped! It's a HUGE egg! I was candling last week and had to yell at DH to come here. You could see the foot clear as day, and it was huge! I really didn't expect that big egg to make it far, even when I saw it was fertile. The air sac goes up most of one side of it. I hope it makes it, seems like it will, it has pipped more since early thing morning. Can't wait, hope it is healthy. Here's a picture to show you how big this egg is.

I'm waiting to see pics of the baby that comes out of that mammoth egg LOL
