So incubator 3 spiked for God only knows how long today (home made bator) and everything left is cooked. I want to cry. Hubby says to buy a third LG tomorrow. I am so sad.

Sorry about your bator3 spike!! Have you candled them? Do you know for fact they're cooked? Maybe something from them will hatch yet! ??

Congrats on the pip! My eggs are on day 22 (tonight) and I was starting to get worried... Until after I said so and then I heard cheeping and FINALLY found a pip in one of my eggs! PHEW!
And now I have to go to work

Can somebody please help me.. How can I clean or treat a chicks eye it looks like it has a little bit of invection

WOW so much action going on. Im on the morning of day 22 and have 3 eggs hatched out of 8 eggs. 3 more with pips 1 since early yesterday morning with no progree, 1 since late last night and 1 since this morn. The other 2 nothing so far.

Oh, that poor baby. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure there are people who would know better than me. You should start a new thread in this section of the forum: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures Read the posting rules, (I think it's mostly just stating the issue in the subject line & a few other little bits), and I'm sure somebody will be able to give a decent response. It would probably be good to add a picture in there so others can see what you're dealing with.

It's hatched! It's doing well except for the huge egg yolk to absorb! Gee, you would think there were two yolks in there. I have been watching it to make sure it doesn't pop! It is walking around now, doing the paddle walk..here are some pictures of the first few that hatched, separate from my OE's..well one is an OE, nice dark egg..from a friend here..RED111

I so want that middle one to be a girl! It came from the dark OEgg

This one is the prettiest silvery/blue color. Nice little chicks ~ all three of hers that
went into lock down hatched.

I actually HAD to close the contest right after I posted! Jp barely got in! I turned the bedroom lights on right after that and noticed my first pip!! Its the pic of the incubator posted to the top of my page, and YES! Steal that pic!! I love it!!!
