Don't worry, it's normal for them to pip an air hold and then do nothing. It's in the memo they all get on how to drive the momma hen crazy. Actually I think it has more to do with the fact that it takes a lot of work to make that little hole, and once they get it, they want a nap. They will take lots of breaks and naps over the next however many hours while they're aclimating their new little lungs and soaking up yolk & blood. Give them time, don't rush them, and don't open it. It could be HOURS before you see anything else. Maybe you'll see a little push at the hole every once in a great while... but mostly you'll be sitting there thinking "what's wrong" and any of many different scenarios of what could be happening inside that little egg. Once they decide they're ready to come out though... that's awesome. It's like the race is on to zip. What makes them change their minds all of a sudden? No idea. They'll break a little bit of shell, rest, turn, zip a little more, power nap, zip zip, and then push the shell apart. Really cool to watch! Some zip around and hatch in like 15 minutes, others can take a couple of hours to complete the zipping.

Relax.
