FEB HATCH-ALONG THREAD ...COME JOIN US.... EVERYONE!

Tomorrow is day 20 for my remaining 9 shipped silkie eggs. Hatching in 2 Brisea Mini Advances. I couldn't fit any type of egg carton in so I am propping them up on rolled paper towel. I have been using this method the whole incubation to keep them upright. I just turned them over gently 5 times a day by hand. Hope it works! Nervous and excited!!

Wow! Everyones chicks are hatching and I'm on day 12... still a bit to go!

Seeing all those cute balls of fluffiness makes me so antsy for my own!

Don't worry, after these do or don't hatch

, then in another few days I'll have choc. orp eggs due, then basque , & today I just put in call duck eggs- plus I ordered frizzles today.... So looks like I'll be here awhile, in fact several of us will!

I have 1 of these also- I use mine just for hatches now since I order larger sets of eggs. How come you didn't just use the auto turner comes w/ it?

Question: I have eggs that will be hatching on the 15th and I want to turn an old incubator into a hatcher... it needs a new thermostat, where do I get one and how do I replace it?

Well, down to 3 barred rock eggs..I just don't know what's going on. There are two that are really active, worrying about the third. :/

I set 12 OE's last night along with 4 Marans. Shipped.
Also in with those, 4 other OE's and 3 barn yard mixes..but they are blue/green, so more like EE's. They are from a friend, not shipped. Due to hatch on the 26th.

And tonight, I set 12 EE's. Shipped. Due to hatch on the 27th. Hoping I do better with these! I should get some right?!

Next hatch, Easter Hatch along with Welsummer eggs.

Today is day 7.

Ok, you should see veining as well as the tiny chick, wiggling around. You may have to watch for a few seconds to see it moving, it looks sort of like an 'inch worm' wiggling. You should also see the air cell @ the top, or fat end of the egg. Hope this helps...

I have made myself completely ill over this hatch!

STILL NOTHING! & I'm the 1 always saying 'be patient' to ppl... Poor DH is as bad, if not worse than me- he keeps coming up with reasons to walk in the dining room where the bators are. I guess he's watched me get disappointed so many times lately. (I'm sure he's also thinking about all the $ spent too, but would not dare mention it

) I'm gonna go to bed, hope I can sleep! And maybe, just maybe I'll wake up to at least a pip???? Good night all-
