FEB HATCH-ALONG THREAD ...COME JOIN US.... EVERYONE!

Sounds like late bloomers. If they are still moving in there let them be. They will hatch when they are ready. I actually went to Youtube and found a bunch of videos of chicks hatching and peeping and made a playlist of them. I put my phone or netbook right on top of the bator and let it play.

LOL I would never have thought of that! Great idea Brooks.

I am on 22. My sister heard chirping but still no pip! I am praying!
Mine just went to the end of day 22 last night b/4 they pipped- but my temp & humidity were too low the first few weeks w/o me knowing, I think that had something to do with it. Anyway, chirping is a good sign!

new little chickies are still hanging in there, still breathing good- squirming now & then. Not made a lot of progress, but I'm no longer so worried about them. When my babies in the brooder chirp loudly you can see & hear them respond

FINALLY 1 egg has pipped! I can see the little beak, it's peeping & breathing- so now I can breath too! I am soooo relieved, at least I know they are ok, or this one is anyway. This hatching business is nearly more stress than I can stand

Oh my gosh, I need my husband to lock the incubator away and throw away the key for a few days. I am going to kill them before they even have a chance! I am SO scared of killing them I keep checking on them....this is the worst ever!! 42 tiny lives lay in limbo and are depending on my and my insanely hard to keep steady incubator temps and humidity and I am failing, I just know it!!! My hands look like I am half zebra from reaching in and adjusting everything 100 times a day and burning myself on the heating element!

Me too!

PugBug... I'm feeling like I need some updated pics... might help the ulcer I've got going here over your hatch. LOL. ?? hmmm? Ya, I'm pathetic, I know. And I know it might be a bit of selfishness. I somehow have it in my brain that you are going to have super healthy babies this time, and that somehow that is going to reassure me that my next hatch will have healthy babies too. It's assenine, I know, but still...

Yes, you can smack me.
