Before anybody wrote back & slightly lifted the big piece & it just fell off, but I don't see any wriggling anymore, I don't hear her either. I don't think lifting the loose piece hurt her, but do you think she quit? She was working so hard!! I saw the egg moving, I could see her moving around & now nothing How long should I wait? I'm bummed

. I won't help any others!!! Scouts' honor!! PLEASE tell me she quit on her own!!!!

Hopefully she is just resting! Sit on your hands & don't touch or I'll have to come tie you to a tree (ask Peach & Cami about that tree LOL )

... I will take another picture. She's exposed a little, but I can't tell where the beak is. Should I spritz her with some water so she doesn't get too dry? Humidity is at 70-75% I'm not doing anything else to her unless you guys tell me to!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Do not spray! It will only make the membrane dry out faster. Don't open the bator anymore!!!

LOL... 70-75% is fine humidity... I don't think you need to spritz her.... Plus that would require opening the bator! Pug will tie you to that tree!! LOL

Do you see ANY movement in that little hole you made? Does it look like she's breathing?

HELP!! My 1st hatch!! number 3 wanted to beat #1 & 2, but when can or do I need to help her get out? I feel like I should help with that one big piece. I've heard her peep in there, but nothing has been happening for about an hour. Is she just taking a rest or does she need help?

It looks like it is zipping right along, and from the sounds of it, taking it's time. april is right, they can take a while. Some can be out once zipping in about 5 mins or less..others, hrs! Good luck, waiting for a picture of this little one.

Believe us, we all know how you feel right now- but you need to understand what is going on in that shell to understand why you need to wait. You can't see her beak cause she has been busy 'zipping' her shell- and her beak is normally hidden under her wing, she will have the sing up over her little face.
