No the eggs were not shipped I got them from a lady about 30 minutes away so I picked them up. My temp stayed at 100
how many eggs did you set all together?

I am so sad for you.

I have a little giant from tsc. I don't know what else to do with the high/low readings? They have hardly changed at all, but the regular humidity reading (big number) says anywhere from low 40-50%. My low reading (little #) is always somewhere in the 30's, my high (small #) is 90's.

My temps have held steady, 99.5-100 on both meters. So what am I doing wrong??

ok so today is hatch day for the 10 basque- they are such large eggs that I could only fit 9 (just barely) in my brinsea mini- so DH suggested, which I did- to leave 1 in the big bator over on the side where it would not get turned. And GUESS WHICH 1 PIPPED? Yep- the 1 in the big bator- the same bator that I have to open 3 times a day to hand turn my duck eggs- the same bator I have BEEN opening 3 X daily to turn eggs! That's how I discovered the pip- I opened it for the 2nd time today to turn the eggs when I saw this BIG pip- I was actually going to toss this egg b/c it looked like the air cell is in the bottom (pointy) end of the egg- since I had the other 9 and couldn't fit this one- BUT DH said not to- so just stuck it back in the big bator, thinking if it makes it- it makes it... so now I am all worried about it b/c of me opening the bator etc

just figures

I had 12 eggs
Sorry about your eggs- if I were you I would call the person you got them from to let them know that none developed. It might not do any good- but then again it might. I had this happen only once to me. Shipped Blue Isbar eggs, out of 14, only 1 ever showed development- then 'quit' about day 12. I emailed the lady, she actually was very nice about it & sent me another 6 eggs for free. Of those 6, 3 made it to lockdown. Only 1 hatched (she died a few days later) but that was my fault. I had issues with my bator that until then I didn't know. But at least by the 2nd set she sent I know they were fertile...

So should I take the water out of the bator then add water again for lockdown? I just can't get the high/low #'s to go up or down...they are still saying same #'s. But the big # on the humidity meter is still saying 50-57%.

I quess I will try that and see what happens..

Ok so I need to be concentrating on the big #s? Because I just checked my bator the temp on both is 99-100, the humidity for the big # is low 50's. On the humidity reader the little numbers for the high is 90% low is 30%? The high and low haven't really changed that much...so am I good now?

I've had the hydro in for almost 24hrs, the other themometer has been in from day one, I've had my bator going for 2 days now. I have water in the bottom, both plugs out. So what ya think?

yes u shuold be good if it holds

Ok so if big # reads in the 50's% humidity is good, check. My temp needs to be 99.5-100, check. So I don't need to worry about the small #'s for humidity and temp, just the big #'s, check!

Sorry for the non-stop questions but those little #'s were making me crazy!! I couldn't get them to change for nothing!! Ok I'm going to let it sit another hour or so then the eggs are being put in, excited.

Thanks again for the guidance!
