My eggs went into lockdown today too! 17 Blue/Black Copper Marans (can't see in them so left them all in), 1 mixed bantam, and 8 of 12 shipped eggs (bantam Maran project).

We'll have to be on the look out for hatched chicks together. Here comes the wait!

I have 2 LOs out now .dont even know where the second came from as one was zipped but didnt see another zipped only a tiny pin hole in one ..maybe him.?.. and the zipped one is still working on it.
I cant LOOK..........The last out is now leaning on the zipping one .Hope it doesnt smother it.

Oh my gosh it is past 11 and I can not sleep. Not only are my little TSC chicks cheeping away but I have eggs due Tuesday AND my boyfriend built me a brooder! It's amazing! And I'm setting up a new coop in an old shed tomorrow and it's going in there! Expect pics tomorrow. Oh and this thing is huge! 25 sq ft of room for chickies!!

LOCK DOWN!!! Tomorrow!!!! I can't wait to see my babies!!!!!! I put in 25 eggs, and 22 are gonna go into lockdown!!!!! I am so excited! Here is a pic of the progression of our coop!!!!


This is the back wall! It is made of mostly repurposed material! My husband iis so proud of what hes accomplished!! And so am I!!!!

oh wow! I LOVE the wood! This is going to be beautiful! Can't wait to see when it's finished

I just built a new brooder today(brooder #3) its a repurposed dresser. Its not very big but having a 3rd brooder will help. Ill post pics of mine tomorrow also.
