These are the baby ducks that I bought Thursday with my 7 year old grandaughter Hannah. She is in love.

I just realized this is in the mostly geese section. Sorry. But ............. I am such an idiot. I was talking the lid off the incubator for the ten minute cool down I read about every evening. I took it off then came to the computer and FORGOT it. Totally forgot it. Not sure how long it was off. When I found it, it was 78 degrees. I am sooooooo mad at myself. We will see I guess.

I honestly don't think it will be too bad. I've seen broody mom's get off the nest for prolonged periods of time.

And Hannah doesn't look like the only one in love. Those duckies look pretty happy! Cute!

I had 4 goose eggs in the bator . 3 unfertile and 1 developing. It quit today. it was moving yesterday and today it had a seperation. Looked bad. I would usually have waited a day or two before getting rid of it just to make sure, but it scared me a bit. I broke it open and it about broke my heart. TINY little thing. It was 2 weeks along. It was dead but perfect.. Little legs about the size of a needle. Long long neck and that huge big ol eye.Even had the beak. So sad. Still 5 ducks moving in the bator tho..
