Day 4 - development in all 14 shipped eggs! Only hard one to see was the maran but that link helped see the spot where development occurring. Saw the heart beating in two eggs so clearly. Amazing!

Can’t wait to hear about the hatches happening next week! Mine are on day 10 and I added 5 eggs from a farm today that I suspect are fertile just for fun and because so many of the shipped eggs were infertile. I cut an egg carton in half and tied string to each side coming out the vent hole so that I can “rock” the eggs without opening the incubator during lockdown for my main eggs. Not sure it will work.😅

That’s too bad about your shipped eggs. From everything I’ve read it’s such a gamble. Hopefully the new ones work out 😊

I REALLY wanted some 55 Flowery hens this year. I received 6 55 Flowery eggs. Out of those, four were infertile. One quit and one is bouncing around looking great in his or her egg. 😭

What do you guys do with your quitters? I thought about putting in the trash but worried about smell. I don’t want to crack them open. I ended up throwing my quitter egg into the woods.🤦🏻‍♀️
