February 2023 hatch-a-long

Pics
@BarnyardChaos It is now in the incubator then. We were worried about the other chick and found it was shrinkwrapped when we made a safety hole, helped it out and the chick is still breathing slowly, nothing else, what now? :hmm
Update:
Chick is breathing better, we have it on a heating pad and it seems to be doing better, it chirped once earlier haven't heard it again, and i just saw it lift its head and lay it back down. Praying I can help this poor thing.

Sugar water. Dab a drop or two onto the side of its beak. Or if you have some Nutri-Drench on hand, or electrolytes, give her that, too. She needs energy. She can survive on nutrition from the absorbed egg yolk for a couple of days if she won't eat. But soon, try to get her to eat some moistened chick starter with a little egg yolk added, and Vitamin-E wouldn't hurt, either.

I'd stick a thermometer under her on the heating pad to be sure it doesn't go over about 99-100-deg-F. That's about all you can do, and pray for the best. :hugs:fl

well she had a little bit of yolk unabsorbed, I think she finished absorbing it a bit ago, cant really tell. I left the bottom of the shell attached and just in case and ill let her kick it off if she makes it to that point. She is moving her little toes and head still. Tomorrow morning once im sure she has a chance good chance of survival, ill give her the sugar water.

So many in the midst of hatching or finishing up while little over me sitting here on day 12 lol.
