February 2023 hatch-a-long

#9 just hatched. once it's fluffy and moved I'm going to clean the incubator again for the next batch of 13 eggs

alright I might be wrong on my days so those of you who may know, what days do you think these eggs are on-
egg 1: ( the one i said was probably just layed today or on day 2 or 3. )

egg 2: ( this one i found hard to candle as its a bit darker than the others. )

egg 3:

egg 4: (From the back, this egg has a huge ring, you can kinda see it from the top, does it mean this one's dead?)

Thats alright, none seem to be super dead to me at least.

We had an excellent mother pass back in August last year, she went broody every year and did very well each time. A Cuckoo maran, she was about 7/8 years when she went. We called her Copper.

Awww. I am hoping not as many of mine go broody this year. Lol. A Cochin went broody twice, another Cochin 2 or 3 times, my SF I think once, my lt brahma once, was thinking there was another one in there too... Then my buttercup went broody at like 6 mo old late in the fall and they aren't known for being broody!!

once we had 4 broody at once, two barnyard mixes, a lt brahma, and that copper maran in 2021.

Below are the latest 2 an OE, and a LO

The LO had a bit of belly button. I put coconut oil on it.
I have a pip of a BCM, and 2 in eggs, still movement. Just started day 21.

Sooo I may have just ordered 12 local hatching eggs for after these ones hatch.
Orpington (Isabel/crele cuckoo, black/lavender) and wheaten/blue wheaten Ameraucana maybe some copper maran. Anyone doing a March hatch along? Lol

First picture is my egg at day 2 and second is day 6. Just so you can compare yours.
