This is all new to me,where can I get some info? Like how many day's old can the eggs be. My eggs will hatch out as olive eggers so I guess thats mixed flock ? I would like to come along but I don't know enough about it without some help

All the rules/info are one post # 1.
Simple you sign up and state how many times you would like to be in. 1 x = you send out a mim. of 6 eggs (most send extras) YOU pay for posteage on the eggs that you ship out. You will get the name & address of the person you will be sending to and need to get your fresh eggs out by the date stated with a DC# (delivery conformation #) Kinda of like a secret santa thing.

If you are sending mixed eggs...you should expect mixed eggs in return , same with pure. You may request a breed or water fowl....but all depends on what is available.
It is fun.... There is a swap run every month by MrHeinz

Thanks,for hatching purposes how fresh (day's old) can an egg be ? What is the process used to store eggs that are going to be incubated ? I have never incubated eggs, this is my first attempt. I would like to find all the info I can so someone gets the best product possible from me.

When I send eggs I send eggs that are 3 days old or newer. Generally you see it listed 3 days but some will send up to 5 days old. The older the eggs, the harder the shipping is on them. Eggs to be shipped should be stored in a cool room and turned several times a day. I've seen it listed the are best stored between 50-60 degrees. I have an extra egg turner that I put my eggs in.
