I kinda wish I bought the 50...I never thought i would have that many chicks!!! I bought 2 20's instead!!!  LOL They do make a great product though! I have been impressed with my investment in Brinsea hatching equipment!
I have the Ecoglow & the Brinsea scope. Wish I would have bit the bullet & purchased the larger Brinsea incubator. I've bought 3 different incubators since trying to decide. 1 returned, 1 the egg turner quit on its second hatch, tried replacing motor but that wasn't the problem, just cheaply made. The third I used all the way to day 18, then I moved the eggs to my brother-in-laws still air styrofoam bator for hatching.

I bought the hovabator but then followed with the mini eco...but, then I bought the cabinet...Which I think is bad because I can now fit A LOT of eggs in there!!!!!

I would be totally dangerous with a cabinet! We'd be overrun with baby birds! The family is still deciding what incubator they want to get me for my birthday... They have been shopping Brinsea... Then I'd have two incubators.... Oh, the possibilities...

Almost Feb....Anyone due soon for lockdown???

Since my eggs are mix pekin & scovy locked down today hopefully they start hatching on the 2nd

I'm picking up another used incubator (hovabator) on Monday. I already bought a Genesis 1588 from the same lady (a friend who had to sell her flock due to impending move). So now I *could* hatch like 100 eggs at a time if I wanted.... ;)
I've intentionally made my coop small enough to hold a maximum of 25-35 birds, so hopefully I can stick to that! :)

Help?

Today was the day I set my eggs. I had my incubator going for 48hrs before hand. Temp perfect, humidity a stable 45 to 50% ALL I did today was add the eggs and 6hrs later my humidity is 60%

Should I try lowering it? Or let it be tonight and see if it stables back out tomorrow?

let it be for the night and see what it is tomorrow. Adding eggs will screw everything up for 24 hours or ao.

It's going to fluctuate...Odd that it went up when you loaded it...usually, it's quite the opposite. However, just keep an eye on it. It will go down. If you have any air vents plugged take the plugs out. Is your ambient air humid?

That's why we have tools...time to make an addition on the coop~ You should see the starter coops I have...LOL

Last summer I had the perfect configuration for 7 chickens then added another coop for 7 more....dang chickens all squeezed on one roost in one coop! Hysterical
