Good I glad you didn't take offense, hopefully your later date eggs will be furtile. I was so excited when I candled (1) 3 day old egg from my blue egg laying EE and found that the egg was developing. Five weeks ago they werent. Good luck :)
I appreciate the good luck wishes. I'm going to try a different rooster and possibly do some feather trimming. I think there is just took much fluff on these guys and they can't find the spot. Lol.

Almost Feb....Anyone due soon for lockdown???
I lockdown Tuesday, hopefully hatching next Friday. The Brinsea Ovaview came in the mail today, so I am going to try that out when I get home. Surely it will be easier than my flashlight and toilet paper roll

Did you get the yellow candler and the black scope? You are going to love it! No worries about traveling to a dark room. You can also use the yellow part and candle the eggs in place so you don't have to keep picking them up. I really love mine...I just wish it was bigger because larger eggs you can't use the scope part just the yellow part.

Enjoy yourself!!!

I didn't get the scope. I keep my eggs in a bedroom where I can turn on a dim lamp, so that's not a problem. The scope looked really cool, and I may get one later, but for now I just have the Ovaview with the yellow base, no scope. Some of my chickens lay large eggs, and I had read reviews that said the same thing you just did.
I didn't even think about candling in place. That's a great tip, thanks!

First time hatching here. I have 2 Silkie eggs under my 2yr old broody Silkie. She has been sitting for 7 days and has had eggs under her for 1 full day now.

I also have my incubator full. I set those just today! 12 random eggs from a neighbor who free ranges. All Easter Egger mutts and she put it. EE and Buff Orp, EE and RIR, EE and Austro, ect.,

So 14 total.

February 18th and 19th I believe?
