Good morning!

I'll join this thread. I put 14 Delawares & 7 splash Jersey Giants (could produce blue & blk as well) in the bator on Thurs. the 28th. Good luck too all.

I put seven blue/splash rocks in lock down last night, so thier hatch day should be Tuesday night.

Unfortunately for me I am at day 7 and it looks like a zero hatch rate

Either I have a dud rooster, the eggs were too cold, or who knows what. I actually stole them out from under the hens as they laid them because of the temp. No idea, I have 2 systems monitoring my bator and I've been at 100.2 since go and although my humidity got too high at 55 its now down to 40 so no idea... I must have screwed something up somewhere

Just put 30 eggs into my homemade bator. This will be my first hatch.There are 8 from a frizzle roo and cochin hens, 15 from a SLW roo and Buff orp hens, 5 olive EE eggs, and 2 from a EE roo and SLW hen.

Okay so for all of you who are thinking that when you candled your eggs and saw nothing - I was there, too. Until I got a brighter flashlight today!!

And guess how much it helped? I have little chick fetuses!!! I was sooo excited, my first babies! I'm soo proud, I have one confirmed little chick and about three others that I'll keep tabs on, see if they develop to that stage within the next couple days. I'm on day 6, so I shouldn't worry too much - But this one certain egg is really quite dark and well developed.

There are about two or three I'm sure won't make it due to infertility and maybe 5 that are probably too porous, but those ones I'll also just see if things get better as the days advance. I'm not sure, so I shouldn't give up hope.
