I just set my 12 precious little eggs, water is full, turner is on. Will count tomorrow as day 1. I am SO wanting this to be a great hatch!! Thanks to all for your help.

Candled again today (day 11)

I threw 1 egg out, it looked like a dark ring in the middle, and if you rolled it on the longway, i kinda swished around. I "opened it up" and it was a good thing I did it outside, STINKY!!!

So now I have 8 of 12 eggs with movement. I can't wait for the 15th.

Broody has TWO hatched!!! Both are little black chicks, one has a little bit of red on top of it's head... the other one is still a bit wet to tell anything other than black

All have EE dads and the moms are either the black or white LH for the two that hatched (I'm thinking that the mama is the Black LH).
But when I had candled I couldn't see in the two olive eggs so I don't even know what to expect from them, no pips so.... not really holding my breath but will give it until Sunday morning to see if they do anything.

Q: What's more fun than hatching a clutch of eggs in February?

A: Hatching TWO clutches!!

I started my Incubator this evening loaded with 26 B-Americaunas and 14 Mutt LF brown eggs [ to keep the 2 'spare' B-'caunas from beeing too lonesome after I transfer 24 to the Suro on Tuesday]

Hatch day for these will be February 25th.

Hatch day for the B-Welsummers in the Suro 20 is Friday, February 12!! Just one more week!!!

Anyone care to hazard a guess about the brown eggs? This picture doesn't do the color justice. Very rich and coppery brown.
