Oh my gosh!! What a great bunch of hatches!!

Congrats to all of you and thanks for posting the pictures. The one with the camera flash was so precious.

I gotta say, I WANT BUTTON QUAIL

What do you do with them once they get big, which I am thinking they don't ever get very big !

Now that i have a pip and can hear it peeping I am up every few minutes to see if it has hatched yet. And worst yet day 21 aint till 5:30 on Sunday so I wasn't expecting them to start hatching yet and am going to be leaving tomorrow at around 3 and wont be back until Sunday around 5.

My hatch is finally on its way! Three pips: 1 Silkie and 2 Faverolles. WooHoo!

Its going to be a long night - but a fun one!

YAY! We candled today and out of 16 eggs there were 2 duds and an early quitter. It was the coolest thing ever to see them movin around! Monday is lockdown, I'm so eggcited!!!

8 hatched and I still have 6 eggs in the incubator... today is day 21 for me... so we are gonna give them til Saturday...

Hi all,

First post to BYC.
My eggs are due to hatch Feb. 25
First time hatching egg or keeping chickens.
GQF Genesis Hovabator with egg turner.

12 Silkies
14 Giant Cochins

Not too bad. I hatched out Chameleons (lizards) and incubation was 200 + days so 21 isn't too bad.

Haven't candled any of the eggs but I check every day to make sure nothing smells.
Hopefully something will hatch but all the eggs were shipped so who knows.
