today hatched about five pipped this am

I have 5 out of 13 babies hatched so far!!! What are they? All I know is that one is a leghorn mix.

Well I guess I'll move on over to the March thread as I'm on day 22 and still no chicks but they're coming I can hear them pecking away in the incubator. I guess all three thremometers I've got are wrong. I knew it was going too long for these eggs not to at least be pipped yet much less hatched, so I turned up the wick a little on the temp and sure enough about a half a day later I started hearing peeps and pecking. At least they're not all dead, I don't know how many are going to end up hatching but you can sure bet there will be a new and better temp. guage in there before I set another 'bator' full here in about a week or so. March-hatch-along here we come.

Hi all.
Just finished up my last hatch of February.
Had 49 eggs in the incubator. A mix of
Cuckoo Marans and Welsumers. Finished with
46 hatching out of the 49.
Bad part of this setting was I had started out
with 90 eggs and after candling had to toss
45 clears.
