FEBRUARY HATCH-A-LONG come join in

As you guys know, I have the Brinsea Octo 20 Eco - it has dividers in it and a tray that the eggs rest in. Is it best to take the dividers out upon lockdown, or is it best to put the eggs in an egg carton? This is the first time my eggs have survived this far!!!

I know there was someone on here last fall that got some but I already had chicks in the bathroom for the winter so didn't get any. I am hoping she still has some this spring.

Congratulations on the PIP!! How exciting! Keep us posted! I candled on Saturday. Not sure what I saw as my light just had a hard time getting through the brown eggs, but I think 5 had veins. I couldn't see movement though. I will try again at 10 days.

One of my LF fav eggs is rotten and stinky so it got tossed. Now I have 13 due the 22nd and 7 bantams favs due the 24th.

Oh good, debiraymond & hcammack will/has proven the question of "can egg cartons be used at lockdown in a Bresnea incubator." I also had fun adapting the cartons to work in my 2 old Marsh (round, clear plastic dome) incubators (have posted pics). Have had the best luck with those hatching neatly without getting knocked around before ready to get out of the shells. CARTONS RULE!!

Day 21, I'm getting sooo impatient! I have no clue if they are dead or just haven't hatched yet. Come ON chickies!!!

(when I say dead, I mean they have been through waaay too many troubles in incubation)
