I feel like I do not have a clue what I am doing. It is that fear of the unknown thing I guess. Once i get once hatch under my belt i will feel better. It has been 40 minutes and the temp has not quite rebounded. It is at 99.4 I am looking for 100.5. Humidity is high at 72%.
I am using cartons.
I have made "fences" out of cross-stitch plastic. So I have my 4 sections to keep breeds separate. It is shaped like an H. teo long sections on the sides and two smaller ones in the middle. I will get a pic in tomorrow.
Trust me, we understand! My own UPDATE: GETTING GOOD at candling. Today is day 10, so candled my B-Ameracaunas and the store-boughts and friend's 2 eggs. Pulled 12.
26 B-Acaunas: 3 clears, 6 blood rings [ 5 early quitters, about 5-7 days, one was still living but there was a blood ring and the yolk was cloudy and icky --- it was doomed]. Friend's: 1 ??, one developing. Random "store bought" : 1 clear, 2 blood rings, 3 iffy and 8 clearly developing. Back into the bators,
Lockdown on the 23rd!
OOPS! ETA: that means 17 B-A'acauns, 2 'friend's' & 11 "store bought continue on. Will need to get a BIG brooder ready next week
