Congarts on the new chickies!!!!

I think my humidity is too low. My air cells look like Day 18 and it's only 14.5. It's very dry in here with our wood stove, so I think I'm going to close the door to that room and put in the humidifier.

Happy to report I came home to 5 hatched chicks. #6 has pipped (either that or the peeps pecked a hole in it). #7 the hairline crack can't tell if anything is happenning in there or not. Going to see if any of my pictures turned out, will upload to BYC asap.

I have seven chicks of nine. The other two don't seem to have pipped yet, but I can see one rocking. It's only day 21 here, so I'm being patient. I may take the babies out once they're dry (in the bathroom with the shower running) to keep them form playing kickball with the last two. It sounds like a fight in there right now.

My 5 that are hatched look dry, but because one of the remaining two is pipped, I am just leaving them in the incubator. Once 6 hatches and dries then I will move them. The last egg is questionable as it developed a hairline crack on Wed after Lockdown. We are on day 21, and I was pretty surprised to have the majority hatch out today. I think the Brinsea Mini Advance is pretty special! It's been a great first experience for me.

I have one guy that has been zipped for over a day and not come out yet...absorbing yolk I guess. I also have one that has been pipped for the same amount of time. I see them moving so at least they are still alive. come one kids...get out of them shells...
