FEBRUARY Hatch-A-Long, come join in!!

We have Wheaten Ameraucana, Welsummer, Partridge Bantam Cochin and Blue Andalusian eggs due to hatch Feb 15th- if they hatch like all the rest they will come on Feb 14th! Total of 21 eggs

to all hatching!

I know there may not be many "duck people" on here, but I'm on Day 28 and still NO PIPS!!!! I've seen two eggs rock, but that's it!!! What do I do?

I put my Seramas into lockdown. I didn't ever get around to candling so

that they're A-Okay!

I didn't get to candle all of mine either....since you didn't they will all hatch....fingers crossed​

Out of twenty, I have 4 pips, 3 wiggles, and one out! I think I may be in for a long night. I was wondering how they were going to do and they all just seem to be coming alive suddenly. I think the first one woke the rest of the bunch up lol. I'm extra excited about the hatch because I got a bunch of mixed breed eggs so who knows what's in there. My fingers are crossed! wish me luck!

I have 3 chicks!! 3 eggs still havent pipped yet

Day 21 today.. hopefully I will wake up tomorrow to more fuzzy chicks!

It was an absolute in Farmer Lew's mind, lemme tell you. Hehehehe. He locked it down tighter than a drum right on time. He cracks me up.

Thank you for the paper towel idea. I tried to ramp up the humidity over the course of the day today, knowing that tonight was lockdown. Someone else said they had used a wet maxi pad... tried that, but I think it's too good of a quality of pad and has absorbed all the liquid at its core. (Maybe I shoulda used a generic one?? Hahaha.) Farmer Lew put a wet washcloth in there at lockdown, and the humidity is slowly but steadily rising again. When we candled today, all 11 of the eggs that made it to lockdown looked really good. We'll know in just a few short days how many of them make it all the way to hatch!

So far 3 'OE's, 1 'OE' x GSL and 1 bantam cross that looks like an 'OE' I will post some pics when I get them all taken...How are your Seramas doing?
