Blue egg hatched and is a blue/gray chick, (the pics don't show it and it is slightly damp), Skipper will keep the chick company till brown egg hatches, it will happen, it is just a bigger egg, but I may have put it in a day or 2 after the blue.

Here is my baby she hatched. Two weeks ago all of the chicks that hatched with her died not to long ago so she hangs out with me she loves to sit on my shoulder she is waiting for the eggs in my bator to hatch lol so she can have some friends

I want to try some if those. Because I read they're great layers and small sized (better food conversation). Would you say they're smaller than other hens?

Sorry just saw this message! And yes highly recommend them even in the minus snowing temps they lay an egg a day they vary in size... not too big amazing and gentle girls

Here’s an update in the ducklings and chick one of the ducklings died from mabye a navel infection as it didn’t close properly but everyone else is getting too big! The lil chick is always cuddling with the largest duckling... chick seems to be growing cream feathers so far ! Will be incubating some more soon!

I set 12 barnyard mix duck and 3 mix turkey eggs on Wednesday Jan 31st and plan to add 25 barnyard mix Dark Brown eggs this upcoming Wednesday so that they hatch on the same day.
The duck eggs are for me from my own flock, magpies, khaki and runner covered by a magpie and khaki drake so this should be exciting! also my first time with duck eggs in the bator.
I am running a Brinsea Ovation 56ex with the humidity pump, so far the temp has been right on and my last several hatches have gone well.

what are your barnyard mix ducks? Im curious about some cross breeding.. I have a male blue swedish with faults (some brown and black in him) and my females are a pekin, blue swedish and rouen

It did! Poly V. Works great. The white one. The brown one is soo pretty, hope it's a girl, but, looking like a boy. Look what I am selling. I have her on ksl. I have a pullet at POL, so selling this girl. She is a Cuckoo Blubar. Quite the fancy come, ey? She lays a very pretty green egg..almost daily! I can't have a large flock. I find myself rotating often - - - - because I love to hatch. This old lady needs to slow down. Planning on it, I also have my 1588 genesis for sale.
