february hatch along

I did the day 7 candling and I wanted to make sure the air cells are the right size.

Humidity was at 20% the first couple days to test out dry method, but then I added water and it’s been at about 45%.Only 5/14 show signs of life :hmm not great... at all.
This is one that has been growing much more than the others it seems. When I candled it was moving around like crazy. Is this normal for day 7? The others were not moving, but the vein growth looked very good.

Sorry for bad image quality
I saw some movement in only one of my eggs on day 6-7, but I wouldn't say it was a lot of movement. I'm not super experienced with incubating yet but I would say that's pretty abnormal from what I have heard. Maybe you have a superbird on the way? Haha.

Nope no pips. But I think I heard some tapping this morning. I have no idea what it sounds like though so it might be just might incubator, but it sounded different than normal.

Second lockdown for me today hope they all make it:barnie and it’s good to see movement @Justy0 reli hope someone hatches soon
My movement was referring to day seven so I haven't seen any recently. However I realized that today will only be day 20 not 21 as I had gotten the date mixed up. So that will make them a little less late than previously thought!

Yeah! I'm joining the hatch a long. I see some familiar names already.

Just a few days ago I noticed my hens' eggs looked fertile. The rooster in with the is only 5 months and I wasn't expecting this so early in the year. I'm not expecting high fertility so I also picked up a dozen barnyard mixes locally. There may be a few purebreds in there but I'll take what I can get.

I'll be building a semi automatic egg today or tomorrow. Hand turning this many eggs is already old. Since they're all local eggs I'm going to try incubating and hatching on their side. That'll be a first for me.

hi welcome what breeds you setting!

Thank you. My hens are Gold sexlinks with 1 Splash Marans and Buff Orpington. Barred Rock rooster. The eggs I bought are Marans or Amerucana roosters over Marans, Easter Eggers, and California White. Should be a fun mix. I'm not planning on keeping any. I just like hatching.
