All 6 of my Embedon goslings hatched!

17 eggs in the incubator as of today, putting more in every day until Thursday! Currently, I don't have a hydrometer, does anyone know where to purchase a good one for cheap?

. Yes Walmart nine dollars I have one shoes temp and humidity I like it seems to work very well. Good luck

My sense of adventure is curbed by my Mother in law whom we live with. She said NO to any chickens. Luckily we found a free flock available when she was away for a few days. Now she watches me like a hawk! Some day my chicken math will be unleashed.

Could I put my khaki duck eggs in lockdown a day early? I have eggs I need to put in the incubator so I need the space. I have a separate hatcher for the hatching ones.

I definitely understand that one! I live on my mom's land, separate homes, she is starting to complain about the geese. The chickens have decided she has more bugs and they walk to her house to visit here and there, usually when she's out, she is happy about that part so I think it saves me. She is fine with chickens right now but tomorrow it's buy one get one free so I'll be getting 12! Nothing like having to sneak around like a kid when you have grandbabies. LOL

Update on out 2 chicks that hatched 3/12 & 3/13 respectively. These are the first chicks we've ever hatched. Their almost 5 weeks old.

Oh how cute! What breed are they? I have some with the same coloring but no fluff on top unfortunately.
