Ooh, can I join?

My chicks were hatched a week ago, picked them up on day #3:

They're brooding outdoors, with a MHP:

Temps have dropped to mid 30s overnight but they seem to be doing well.

5 days old:

This is "Blondie", 6 days old:

8 days old:

I've been doing a lot of handling the chicks, picking up, stroking, bringing them to eye level and speaking to them.

And I have been refilling the feeder once a day...some of it is spilled but they're still eating a lot!

Finally got ducks for the first time, only two though, I was told they are only 2 or 3 days old- One is really noisy so thinking its a hen. And the other a drake. A pair would be nice so I hope my theory is correct. They are Pekin.

The one on the left is what i think to be the drake. The right, a hen.
Then I managed to get some sort of French black copper marans, bc why not? But they I assume are mixed. 3 of them. The ducks and these guys I got from an auction (My first time participating in one at that. )
Sad thing is, I was told these French marans were easter eggers, clearly not, maybe somewhere in the genetics, but definitely not noticeable. They are said to be 3 weeks old. 3 chicks. 3 weeks old, a lot of 3's, haha. Another thing I'm a bit disappointed about is two look to be roosters and only one is a hen.
The hen is in the middle in the pic below:

Well I suspect I might have coccidiosis happening with my chicks. One is fluffed out, head tucked, keeping to itself a bit and yellow foamy poops. Calling the vet Monday morning. From what I have seen in threads we need to get treatment from vet for it in Canada aside from medicated feed. Hopefully I can get everything sorted out.

All the pics are so cute. Eta for the chicks i want at the feed store is friday. They came a day late the 1st week and a day early last week and sold out within an hour both times. So i will start calling tomorrow to see if they are arriving. Husband is at the ready to run over there and try to snag some. But if not i either get whatever is available in the next few weeks or order chicks for late summer delivery. I have a feeling there will be a lot of free chickens on Craigslist in several months when all these people who decided to get chickens because of the price of eggs think its not worth the hassle. Egg prices are already falling here.

There will be a lot of chicken paraphernalia available, too, like those too-tiny coops.

I can see that with people wanting chickens but not being prepared for what it entails. People say keeping chickens is easy but it takes a lot of knowledge to keep them well as I have found in my short time with my chicks. I’m a first timer and I read A LOT but still have not been prepared for the things I have come across.
Still totally invested in having chickens mind you :)
Thankful for the advice I get on this site to help me through it all!
