February/March Grow-a-long

Pics
The additional leg rings arrived today!

The three smaller chicks who lost their original leg rings each got new ones, but on their left legs.

"Red/green" did not want to be handled, raised a fuss. Too bad!

"Red/purple" settled down quickly:

I have chicks that are outside Feb 9th to Feb 25th hatch date. It is cold, but I have a baby bath tub with a heat lamp over it. I thought they would sit inside the tub, but they sit on the edges.
I just hatched these Today...

My next batch are from 2 different farms. One is from the farm above, and one from a town one hr away. Both from a store fridge.

My babies are getting so big!! 2 1/2 weeks and they are losing so much of their fluff! With their wing feathers coming in they look like they are wearing little feathered caplets 😆 except for my roo. He is easy to spot now that he has so much more fluff than the ladies. Also my LO that i almost lost....im starting to suspect is also a roo. :/

My 6 week olds are still in the house…..I really need warmer weather and less rain/snow to get them out and my coop finished ugh.
Manticore my mottled houdan has been trying to crow this week. Watching the weather for tomorrow hoping it can be a work outside day!

I didnt end up keeping my two 6 week old and two 8 week olds, planned on it but a good friend of mine said she was looking for some youngens, and they were the youngest hens i had available. So far i think they were all hens, but I told her if not send it back to me, if that happens I'll update that one, but as for right now their journey with me is over. Although, i may actually get some pictures from her over time, but if not, well, you know.
I took these for her the day that they left (yesterday):

Splash Cochin? (I'm pretty sure they're a cochin, just don't know what color they are, thinking splash, and gender, I'm not sure yet.)
