Day 19 no pips, but I heard a peep.

35/40 eggs hatched here!!! Very successful hatch, yahoo!!!!

I had 14 hatch on the 18th, one hatch on the 19th, and one egg that got added late and will hatch on the 23rd.

4 out of the 15 are fully feathered. The others all have naked necks.

I have 9 chicks (and a stuffed crow toy) The yellow chick was sticky- I washed it but the fuzz stuck more. I put Halloween lipstick on his back so the others would not peck his pink parts. I think it worked.

Does anyone else plan on incubating end of January/over February?
I don't think I can wait till this weekend to set my eggs so that they hatch on Valentines day but they will hatch that week so could maybe just sneak into February hatch a long maybe?! I enjoy doing these


This is what I have growing for February:

2 Ameraucana
3 Olive Eggers
4 BC Marans

Due on the 9th

I am incubating 24 quail eggs. Should hatch March 8. The temp is 37.6 c and humidity at 64%.
