I’m in Ontario too! Close to MiltonHi! I have some due to hatch on Feb. 10. I just did the day 8 candling and took out the duds and have 11 that are looking strong. I really have no clue what they are, I just picked up a mixed batch of eggs from a local farm. I probably should have waited a month since I'm in Ontario, Canada and it won't be warm enough for them to be outside until mid-April but I'm sure we'll figure something out.
I'm just west of Ottawa. How long will you keep your chicks indoors ? I figured they'd stay inside for a few weeks (6 probably) and then out to our sun porch or garage. The coop (currently vacant) is fully insulated but there is no power out there yet so no heat. I could run a cord for now if I had to. This is our first time with chicks. I've also ordered some day olds which are coming March 24th!I’m in Ontario too! Close to Milton

Some barnyard mixes! This is my first hatch in my new incubator (Hovabator 2370).
From my flock...Brahma rooster over rhode island red, leghorn and azure layers.
From a friend's flock...mixes of orpington, EE, heritage mixes, silkie, ayam cemani.

If this hatch goes well, I'll be picking up Marans, Isbar & Cream leg bar eggs.
