i had put my 18 eggs in on sat, (first batch ever!) and i got kinda excited and candled 4 last night! it looks soo cool! i'll post pics on sat when i candle them again![]()
Are you positive that those were blood rings? One of my eggs looked like that. Couldn't see any veins but it did have a little dark spot. I had to make room for a couple new better chance eggs so I took it out. When I candled it just looked so much smaller than the others. Plus all the others were wriggling and this one was just completely still each time I candled. I cracked it opened and it all kind of just fell apart but it did seemed to have veins and a little blob with two semi dark spots. I'm worried I may have murdered that poor little embryo. But when I candled it it looked exactly like your blood ring pics. Did you crack those open? Did they have little embryos? I'm on day six by the way. I would have kept it in if only I had a bigger bator.Ok I candled and 3 were clear 6 blood ring, 2?? rest looked good.![]()

That makes 33 eggs still in incubator 3 of them ??? Did not want to post all the pictures cause most look about the same.
I do not blame you and I always do too, but for this hatch It is good to post pictures for those who have not hatched very long.Im afraid to crack one open that been incubating. Deaed afraid so I just throw them away
it might be a good idea to keep closed mason jars with water in them in the incubator. if the heat source goes out, it will circulate the heat it had collected from the original heat source. So crap. We lost power yesterday morning about 6:30 am. didn't wake up until 8:15.
Got the bator wrapped in towels and next to our woodstove. Except you can't regulate that heat very well so I've either chilled or cooked them. power came back on about an hour ago. Got it plugged back in, realized they're supposed to go into lockdown tonight, tapped off the water well and am just gonna step back and cross my fingers.
Hope everyone else is have a less stressful go of it!
