Feed and water questions

Feed-

Do you leave feed out in a feeder all the time or do you throw some out am/pm?
Amount per chicken?

Waterer-
Can a chicken learn to drink from a rabbit type waterer? It would so help me keep the waterer clean!

I feed my birds free choice. They get some cracked corn each evening when I call them back into the run. I suppose if you took the time to show each of your birds how the rabbit water bottle works, they might learn to use it. I'd be very vigilant to make sure they were all drinking though, especially this time of year. I'd prefer to use a fount though.

My waterers get so yuck- the chickens scratch grass, etc. in em and stand on the top and poop in them. I am changing them 2x a day, which is a pain and they are still dirty. Ugh, I want something easy.

They are so heavy I am not sure where I could hang them.

Is there any kind of wall-mounted waterer that could attach to the side of something like a Chick-N-Hutch? We got one from BYCer Trudy (thank you!) today, and plan to use it to transition babies from brooder to outdoors and also for isolating roosters without food prior to butchering.
